Poor design

Pros: zippered internal pocket
Cons: Documents have to be folded; ostentatious emblem.
Review: I read all the reviews and bought this item. When I got it though, I was disappointed. There was a different, and large, ostentatious NORAL emblem on the front of the cover. My immediate thought was maybe I can pull the threads and remove it. But, the internal, transparent document holders were also poorly designed. For example, a med certificate won't fit without folding even though this could have easily been designed to do so. It doesn't seem like a lot to ask: properly hold a logbook, medical and pilot certificate -- and maybe a few other items. But, whoever designed this -- if that's the word -- couldn't even do that. I returned the item.

A great way to organize important pilot documentation all in one place

Review: This is very nice item for convenient storage and organization of important pilot documents such as license, medical certificate, course or training certificates, and logbook all in one place. There is also a second pocket that I use to keep a second logbook, which enables me to always have my early pilot training and flight experience documentation readily available if it is ever needed. The zippered pouch provides space for additional items like a small plotter or flight computer/calculator or addional documents. This item is well made, and probably the best in the under $30 price range. The nylon material gives this cover a professional look that is also durable against wear from routine handling in and out of the airplane and suggests that this item should retain a pristine appearance for a longtime. The padded feature is unique and sets this cover apart from others at providing added durability and protection for whatever contents it holds. I would prefer a snap fastener instead of the velcro closure, but the latter enables flexibility to really stuff alot into this cover if necessary. The interior vinyl pockets could be designed to better accomodate key documents. There are only 4 vinyl pockets that will accomodate items about the size of a pilot's license and credit cards. However, none of these compartments will accomodate a standard medical cert without folding it, thereby making it impossible to have all pertinent information on that document conveniently displayed. There are other logbook holders on the market that have better interior design and efficiency for holding pilot certficates and things like credit cards, but they appear to be not as well constructed and cannot accomodate additional bulky items like flight computers or an additional logbook. Therefore, despite that this logbook cover could be improved through better design of the certificate pockets, I recommend it because it is durable and can safely hold alot of information related to a pilot's flight experience.

Quality Product, I would buy it again

Review: First NORAL product I have purchased and I was impressed with the quality. Product has good amount of padding for your logbook and lots of compartments to store all your other flight documents. High quality zipper opens a large compartment on the inside to store a chart or something of that size. Overall, a quality product that will last for a long time. Product was shipped the same day as I ordered it and arrived in the mail a few days later.

Review: This product is what it says it is. I also have a Noral Flight bag and both products are great. The Logbook Cover - Standard not only holds my current logbook but the previous one my license and mdical and pen with room for more if needed.

Review: Excellent product. Only thing I would do is remove the big bulky zipper from inside and replace with a velcro closure. Plenty of pockets to hold all important documents and necessary items for flying.

Great idea needs 1 tweak

Review: This does what it is supposed to. My only gripe is the internal pocket zipper is chewing up the edge of my log book. I am going to remove the zipper & replace with velcro.
