Great Bag needs one small thing added!
by MARK from ALISO VIEJO CA USA

Pros: see above
Cons: see above
Review: Great number of pockets, high quality, sturdy, great zippers.  Only thing to improve this product is soft foam on the aluminum handles to keep them from clanging!

Great size and shape
by Greg from Southeast Louisiana

Pros: Well thought out and an easily accessible place for everything; not bulky
Cons: Radio pocket and aluminum handles could use some refinement
Review: This is a nice bag. It's size and shape allow it to fit neatly in my rather small cockpit. I leave the top open and unzipped so I can easily reach over and get items out if I need them in flight. I agree the hand-held radio strap is a bit of a pain but I slip my radio in the main compartment when I fly so I can grab it quickly. I often just put a bottle of water in the radio pouch. I've had bigger and smaller flight bags and this one fits everything I need in an organized format.

Just what I needed
by Michael from Portland OR USA

Pros: Price, materials, useful pockets
Cons: main interior section divider is strangely located
Review: Nice construction, sturdy, well-made. My Garmin aera 500 fits nicely in the mesh interior pocket, and my ICOM radio in another pocket. The pen holders are everywhere...and that's a good thing :-). Even use one of them for the antenna on my radio.

I would buy this product again
by Sterling from Saucier MS USA

Pros: Excelent quality
Cons: Replace metal handles
Review: Very good pilot bag. But needs carry handles other than metal, as they are noisy. Use either nylon or plastic for carry handles, Needs pocket for fuel tester next to radio pouch.

by Harry from Burlington VT USA
Pros: Pockets, pockets, pockets in and out.
Cons: As mentioned before, no quick disconnect for the radio pocket.
Review: Great bag, the multiple pockets and the fold down front really keep things organized and available. It met most of my expectations, particularly the quality of materials and construction. For VFR, can't be beat. On the downside, the radio pocket strap isn't quick disconnect, and the size as described in the ad is wrong. I was looking for a wider bag, 5-1/2" would have been perfect, but this bag is actually only 3-1/2" wide (center section) which makes things tighter than I'd like.

Mostly very good
by CCM from Pittsburgh, PA USA

Pros: Plenty of pockets, lightweight, well built
Cons: aluminum handles have some downsides
Review: In general this is an excellent product. It is easy to get into, and as others have said, there is a pouch or pocket for EVERYTHING. My only complaint to date are the aluminum handles. I thought they were distinctive when I bought the bag, but they rattle on each other and the zipper hardware if you're not careful, and they sometimes threaten to come out of the straps (though I haven't actually had one come completely out, yet.

Exceeds Expectation

Excellent Bag for a solo pilot
by Gregory K. Harris from Lansing, MI

Pros: Compact size, multiple compartments, clean and durable design.
Cons: No snap/buckle on the back-up radio retention strap.
Review: The bag carries everything you need in one tidy package. The large compartment is big enough to carry a standard size aviation headset and my 5.5"x10" kneeboard, with plenty of room to spare. If you're looking to downsize your duffle-sized flight bag when you fly alone or on short trips, I can't recommend this bag enough. There are only 2 things I did not like about the bag, and they are minor issues. The first is that the handles are made from aluminum tubing...just seems a little strange to me. The second issue I had is that the retention strap for the back up radio must be threaded through the buckle each time you want to take it out. There is no Fastex buckle or military snap for quick access. These are minor issues though. I have 2 other bags that I never use anymore.

by Dave the Mooniac from Dallas, Texas
Pros: A place for absolutely everything
Cons: None
Review: I looked at a lot of different flight bags before settling on this one. And I've flown with it a lot now, and still like it. Try to find another flight bag that has special, dedicated compartments for your handheld transceiver, your iPod, your flashlight, your electronic E6B, your kneeboard, the 2 charts you use all the time, the 10 to 20 charts you only use sometimes, the airport directory, log books, $100 hamburger book, POH, 8 pens, 8 spare batteries, and a fuel tester. Remember, I said DEDICATED compartments. Not giant caverns to dump things, but neatly organized places for everything. When I get into the plane, I set the flight bag in the back seat, unzip the front compartment so it lies flat, giving access to all the organized interior items. When I leave the plane, it all goes with me. This is a home run product!

Q:
Can I put Approach charts sideways in the middel of this bag? I often carry 6 to 8 plus at least 1/2 of the US enroute charts. Everything else looks good on this bag.
A: Sure, you should be able to fit 6-8 of the NACO terminal procedure books in the middle compartment.  It will be full, but they should fit.
