I would NOT recommend this to anyone
by James from Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Pros: Looks nice, very compact.
Cons: Falls apart easily.
Review: This would be a great bag if it did not fall apart. Within a month of having it, one of the zippers came unattached, so only one side would zip up. It says it has "self healing zippers", but they definitely did not heal themselves. Also, one of the handles came unstitched, so now when I carry it I look like a poor man, (what pilots not though, lol). So overall it looks great when it's new, but it just was not made with durability in mind.
[Editor Note:  We are very sorry to hear about the problems with your bag.  This is unusual for the Sky High Bag.  The manufacturer does have a "No Questions Asked 1 Year Warranty" on all of their bags and will be happy to replace it for you.  Just give them a call at 801.390.5501.]

Pros: compact size
Cons: headphones get crammed into same compartment as rest of gear
Review: Decent "day bag" - needs a separate compartment for headphones.

Perfect size for me
by Mark from Manchester, NH

Pros: Small size, rugged construction
Cons: Needs a better flashlight pocket
Review: I fly a PC-12, and this bag fits perfectly underneath my seat, and holds everything I need to survive 14 hour days. I can fit my Lightspeed Zulu case, a clif bar or two, a small clipboard, spare batteries, Mini-Maglight, and a few other odds and ends. The only change I'd like to see is a pocket for the Mini-Maglight that is a little more secure.

Review: Great bag perfect for everyday use. Little small but it fits a set of headsets in tightly. Keeps all my things, has a very good spot for your log book and pens and pins. Also a Flashlight case very good. But all in all it has enough space to go on a day flight.

LOVE this bag
by Allen from Smyrna, TN

Pros: Lots of pockets, just the right size
Cons: Needs a dedicated fuel tester/maglite sleeve
Review: When I first received the bag I thought it was too small but as I began cramming what I needed into it, it turned out to be the perfect size. I can keep sectionals, approach plates, a handheld GPS, A/FD, fuel tester, kneeboard, pens, pencils, flashlights, handheld radio, E6B (both manual and electronic), utility knife, and spare batteries. I would describe this as the perfect bag for CFIs. Honestly might be too small for those who intend to carry books.

Perfect for a Super, I Mean, Student Pilot
by Kristen Soliz from Texas State Technical College, Waco

Pros: Spacious enough for all materials a student pilot needs.
Cons: A little lacking in the interior's length.
Review: It's not as large as the Discovery Flight Bag, but big enough to fit in all the things a fledgling pilot would be carrying around: Charts, a log book, pair of headsets, a knee board, one of those paper e6bs and a smaller plotter, pens, pencils, flashlight, and the airplane's PIH for the model of aircraft one's flying. As a SP talking to other SPs, I would recommend this definitely over one of those really expensive leather Jeppessen bags, or even one of their less expensive synthetic material flight bags.

Great bag for a leisurely flight
by LSA Chris from Longmont CO USA

Pros: Small enough to be convenient, large enough to hold the basics
Cons: If you insist on bringing your FAR/AIM book, plan on carrying it seperately
Review: Being a student pilot, I didn't want to haul around a captain's bag every time I went to fly. This bag is great for holding all the basics, however I just received my new FAR/AIM book and it will not fit inside. Flying Light Sport Aircraft, it's just small enough to fit in the "baggage compartments" behind the seat, but big enough to hold my headset, charts and tranceiver (if I had one!) along with pens flashlights etc…

Fair value, met my use
by Larry from Titusville, PA

Pros: Nice size and protective bag
Cons: Side pocket a little excessive and not user friendly
Review: Nice little bag for carrying essentials for a sole flight so that you don't have a lot of extraneous material in the way - especially on an IFR flight. Has a extra pocket that is a little hard to utilize the way it folds out, but I still like the size

I would NOT by this bag if you are looking for durability
by CFI in Charlotte from Charlotte, NC

Pros: Nice size for a CFI bag
Cons: Poor quality. Won't hold up to daily usage.
Review: My bag is less than 1 year old and one of the handle straps broke off. I have other bags older that 5 years old and still are holding up. I would not recommend purchasing this flight bag.

Editors note: We are sorry about the problem that you had with your bag. Please note that this would be covered under the manufacturer warranty and they will either repair or replace the bag at no cost. You can reach them at 801-390-5501.

by A Customer from Sacramento, CA
Pros: storage space, and organization
Cons: velcro handles
Review: This bag holds all the equipment I need. It fits my headset, AFDs, extra charts, log book, pens/pencils, fuel tester, flashlight, extra batteries, and maybe an e6b and plotter, but anything more would most likely not fit. I can tuck my knee board in the side pocket, but it makes the bag pretty tight. One thing I dislike, is the velcro on the handle, it makes it hard to get my headset out on a windy day when one hand is holding the door during preflight. But other than that, it is well made, durable, and nicely featured.

Pros: Size and layout are great
Cons: Low quality zippers
Review: Great CFI bag or for short day hops. Layout and size are perfect. Only drawback is the zippers are finicky and easily get off track if not closed with great care.
