Digital Sectional Charts One-Time DVD
This is a one-time DVD for the VFR Sectional and Terminal Area Charts
covering 49 US States (Alaska not included) in a digital GeoTIFF format.

Each Sectional Raster Aeronautical Chart is provided in two halves, a north
side and a south side (except Hawaiian Islands which is not divided). Most
Terminal Area Raster Charts are provided as a single file. The file resolution
is 200 dots per inch and 8-bit color. The root mean square error of the
transformation will not exceed two pixels. The data is provided as a GeoTIFF and
distributed via DVD-R media.
Your DVD will contain the Sectionals and Terminal Area Charts (TACs) for each
of two regions: East and West. Coverage by region is as follows:
- East: Atlanta, Brownsville, Charlotte, Chicago,
Cincinnati, Detroit, Green Bay, Halifax, Houston, Jacksonville, Kansas City,
Lake Huron, Memphis, Miami, Montreal, New Orleans, New York, St Louis,
Washington.
TACs include: Atlanta, Baltimore-Washington, Boston, Charlotte,
Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Detroit, Houston, Kansas
City, Memphis, Miami, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New Orleans, New York,
Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands, St. Louis,
Tampa-Orlando;
- West: Albuquerque, Billings, Cheyenne, Dallas Ft Worth,
Denver, El Paso, Great Falls, Hawaii, Klamath Falls, Las Vegas, Los Angeles,
Omaha, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, San Antonio, San Francisco, Seattle, Twin
Cities, Wichita.
TACs include: Dallas-Ft. Worth, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Las
Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San
Francisco, Seattle
Please note that you will only receive the Geo Referenced TIFF files on the
DVD. This DOES NOT include any software for using the GeoTIFF
files. For your convenience we have created a list of applications that
you might find useful to use with your GeoTIFF files. We do not sell,
endorse, or provide support for any of these applications.

Q: Can these charts be brought up on screen and viewed, moved about, and zoomed without the manipulation software mentioned on your website?
A:
You will need some kind of software. They are just very large Geo-referenced TIFF files basically.

Q: Can you print them? If you can, how many pages would it take to cover the whole sectional? Can yoy print a particular part or section?
A:
These can be printed with an external third-party imaging application. This DVD does NOT contain any software - just the raw image files. Please see the product description for some suggested third party software applications.

Q: Are these charts current? If not, how old are they?
A:
Yes, they are current. The DVD is updated every 28 days (four weeks). As of today (Jan. 3, 2007) the include all revisions through Dec. 21, 2006. The next DVD will be available on Jan. 18, 2007.
