Perfect! by Kelley from Fort Collins CO USA
Pros: Very functional, compact, sturdy, rings open easily w/ one hand Cons: Yoke may hit board during heavy crosswind, most do...I take them off when landing anyway. Review: I've found very little to complain about while using this kneeboard. The main complaint about the pen/pencil holders being too small doesn't seem to hold water, works fine for me. Some approach plates, particularly downloaded ones, may need a little trimming to fit properly but most fit just fine.

Suprisingly convienient by Jeffrey from Santa Cruz CA USA
Pros: sturdy and well made, Velcro is good quality, comes with some protective sheets, clips nice and strong Cons: pencil sleeve is not optimal, supplied sheets all have things in them I situated them front to back to have some spare sheets. Review: I was attracted to this knee board because it had the word "Ultimate" in it. I figured that it could not be all that bad but didn't expect it to be as convenient as it is. I will add that since I tend to print flight plans, airport information and the occasional approach plate (VFR Pilot here) I tend to want to fold them in half and insert them into this knee board. I found that combined with the Jeppesen Seven-Hole Punch brought forth the advantages to this knee board. My only complaint is the pencil holders as they are very tight for mechanical pencils and when using wooden pencils, it was hard not to break the writing tips trying to insert them. I found that using the "Shirt Clip" part of the mechanical pencils in the sleeves of the pencil holders worked very well though.

Great Pilot Accessory by Preston from Pearland TX USA
Pros: The binder rings and pockets Cons: Not exactly made for left handed pilots. Review: This was a great gift for my dad. He is a left handed pilot who has always struggled with managing paperwork/pens/flashlights while flying. The kneeboard was the perfect solution. He loves it.

good knee broad by Roy from Chicago IL USA
Pros: reasonable price Cons: NEED MORE clear sheet protectors Review: I am a tactical officer, such knee broad is necessary. good quality for the price compare to the others. However I have alot of informations to put into the pockets. The knee broad comes with 8 that just not enough for practical use, and the same identical pockets are not avaliable for purchase.

So far so good by A Customer from Raleigh NC USA
Pros: velcro straps, small E6B holder. Cons: no front flap for storing in your flight bag. Review: Well, I have not had a chance to use it in the air yet, but have used it during simulation and it works pretty good. Went to Franklin books and found the hole punch for it and it works great. My only concern now is that I have changed planes and the one I'm flying now has a center yoke and one person comment about the fixed rings getting in the one. So I will try using it on my left leg, or buy the other non-fixed rings. Because I do like the design. The major thing that it lacks is a front cover. Storing it in your flight bag requires some tought.

Broke one in the remaking process by A Customer from Guaynabo, Puerto Rico-USA
Pros: Fixed ring system-The Best! Cons: Vertical pen/pencil holders and velcro fastening system Review: After more than 15 years into aviation, I had finally come to own the "perfect" kneeboard. Just one little fix: the vertical pen/pencil holders needed to be horizontal (pen and pencils got stuck in the helmet bag and pinned on my leg. I got carried away with the project and tried to fix the attachment band in the process, by changing it to a snap system.Results- a broken clipboard (soft plastic instead of aluminun), unaligned rings and unsewn/ripped cordura fabric. Nevertheless, it was a good kneeboard!

Love It by Mac from Oregon City OR USA
Pros: Comfortable Cons: Only a small complaint that it take two hands to open the rings. Review: Very comfortable. Low profile. Fairly easy to operate the ring opener. There are notebooks available at office supply stores that allow opening the rings with one hand. This takes two, and while it's not a big deal, one of the new style ring systems would make this the ultimate kneeboard. I've had several boards over the last three decades, and this is the best one yet.

Great kneeboard! by Dan from Dayton, OH
Pros: Most condensed kneeboard I've found Cons: Needs a few minor tweaks Review: Overall this kneeboard has been great. Its a great way to keep everything you need right in one place, pen/pencil, light, charts, etc. If you make checklists the right size they'll fit in the sleeves, too! As I've flown with it I've only had a few minor changes I'd make to it: 1. I could use a smaller elastic band around the leg, 2. I wish it had a clip like the ones on ASA kneeboards, this one is too small for a notepad and chart together, 3. I'd make the pen holders parallel to the thigh, so I didn't stab myself in the leg so often. :( 4. Larger sleeves for NOS plates.

Great Kneeboard, just right! by Dallaspilot from Dallas, TX
Pros: Perfect size and great features. Cons: Do not try to use it with the TiMount top mount timer mounts. It won't work. Review: I have tried several and this one is the best. Nice balance of what you really need.

Excellent Product by Jim from Vancouver WA USA
Pros: Well designed and durable construction. Makes organizing materials very easy. Cons: Pen holders are too small. Review: I bought this when I started work on my Instrument Rating. The military style kneeboard I had used interfered with the yoke, and there was no way to easily organize approach plates. This solves those problems. No interference with the yoke (in a Cessna 172) and the sleeves hold a number of approach plates, as well as any other reference materials you want to keep handy. Extra sleeves are easily available. No product is perfect, however, so here are my gripes/suggestions for improvements: The pen holders are undersized, making it difficult to replace a pen into the loop after use. I end up not using them. The sleeves are a bit under-sized to hold an NOS plate (you'll need to punch 7 holes in them so they fit over the rings. OK, those are minor gripes. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Best kneeboard on the market! by Michael from Pace FL USA
Pros: Provides extremely convenient access to whatever you need during flight! Cons: More inserts would have been nice...I bought 2 packs. Review: I'm a student pilot just about to take my practical. I bought this kneeboard (the 3rd I've tried) a couple of months ago and it is by far my favorite. The rings allow you to put pretty much anything you want on the kneeboard (checklists, cross country plans, airport diagrams..etc) for easy reference.

A real nice item for the money by David from Paragould AR USA
Pros: Very well constructed filled with tons of information. Cons: Don't have any as of yet. Review: I have not had a chance to use this knee board yet due to weather related difficulties but just by examining it I think it will serve and meet all of my needs. It is filled with tons of information and I don't think that it will be in the way of the yoke or any flight controls at all.

A must buy for any pilot by Andrew from Salem MA USA
Review: Bought this kneeboard as a gift for my father and was extremely satisfied both with the product and the customer service at MyPilotStore.com. Kneeboard fits even the thickest legs and does not interfere with the yoke. Many options to store charts, pens, etc. Would definitely recommend this product to any pilot beginner or expert.

Love it by Paul from Canton OH USA
Pros: Not bulky, Ample storage for the essentials. Cons: None that I've found Review: As a CFI, we're used to climbing into and out of many aircraft everyday. Our kneeboard needs to be as flexible as us. This kneeboard works great. Private flight, no problem, remove the approach charts from the ring binder and it's ready to go. Instrument flight, no problem, attach the charts to the ring binder or use the clear strap to secure those thick chart books. Not as bulky as those 2 flap kneeboards, but still caries everything I need as a CFII-MEI.

Excellent kneeboard but bad quality control by Marcel from Naperville IL USA
Pros: well designed, easy to customize due to ring folder Cons: QUALITY CONTROL OF STICHING!, one little larger pocket to hold a thicker than tiny flashlight Review: The kneeboard is an excellent design. However after 5 times of use(!!!), the velcro to strap the board came loose. After having a careful look, I noticed that one of the sides (the most important one) has not been stiched at all, so it basically had to fail and was just a matter of time. I decided to restich the velcro properly and now it works just fine. My instructor happens to have the same kneeboard. His velcro is stiched properly. Bottom Line: excellent kneeboard and (basically) very robust design, but the people have to have a more careful eye on the quality control, if they don't want to get bad reputation...

Not for use in a 407 by Kevin from Fountain CO USA
Pros: Well made Cons: Interferes with cyclic in smaller airframes Review: Excellent product but the fixed ring system interferes with the cyclic in a Bell 407. I've used a loose ring kneeboard in a larger airframe for the past 16 years and thought the fixed ring was a good idea. I tried it for a few days and found I had to adjust the board to the side of my leg so as not to interfere with cyclic control. Pretty much defeated the purpose of using it and I went back to my old kneeboard.

Excellent, perfect for single pilot IFR organization by Gary C. from Fuquay Varina NC USA
Cons: I would prefer a quick connect buckle, versus velcro Review: I was very pleasantly surprised to find the ultimate kneeboard matched its title. A place for approach plates, checklists, writing surface in a space saving design. Flying a 2-seat RV-7 requires keeping charts, plates and maps in a convenient location and this fits perfectly.

Best Kneeboard Ever by Brian from Raleigh, NC
Pros: Nice place for pens, NOS bound chart strap, and plenty of room to upgrade and add protector sheets Cons: None Review: I have been flying for over 20 yrs and tried just about every kneeboard there is, and I found that this kneeboard far exceeds my expectations.

Simple, but effective. by Joel from Los Angeles CA USA
Pros: Effective, good quality, good size. Review: I don't know what one can put about a kneeboard, as they're pretty simple. What I can say is that this particular kneeboard is effective at what it does. The quality is high. An improvement I'd like to see is to have the pen/pencil holder be vertical rather than horizontal. I'd also like to see the back of the kneeboard (with the top clip) a bit wider, so it can hold standard width pages without overlap.

Worked as I thought it would by A Customer from Random Lake WI USA
Pros: Works the way I need it to Cons: Would be nice to have a hard surface when pages are flipped Review: After my dual cross country training, I was looking for a good kneeboard that could also help keep things organized. I liked the ring binder approach since I knew things would not be falling all over. I've used it since on solo cross countries and it works very well for me. The binder holds electronic sectional chart "pages" that are printed at 8.5x11 and folded to fit the kneeboard. During flight the pages then unfold across the other knee. As long as I stay to the course it saves from having the full sectional getting in the way. I then have my flight planning sheet with waypoints, etc. in the binder as well and finally airport diagrams. This allows me to flip pages around as needed in an orderly manner. The side pocket works well for pen and flashlight

Good Product except.... by Ryan from Honolulu, HI
Pros: Useful pockets, size is good Cons: Fixed rings get in way of controls Review: The wide leg strap is great and doesn't put much pressure on your leg. Originally I flew a C172 and the kneeboard fit perfectly. Recently I've been flying a Diamond DA-40 with the control stick between your legs movement you hit the kneeboard when moving the stick low and right. I think it's only because I have the fixed ring version, it might be better with the loose rings.

Super Product by Adam from Plantation FL USA
Pros: Well Made Review: I am a new pilot, but have tested and played with various kneeboards before. This kneeboard is small, compact, and fits perfectly. Holds all my pens, pencils, charts, and other gizmos. Generic Franklin Covey (franklincovey.com) sheets fit in the binder, so replenishing with various organization sheets and pockets is easy.

The Name Says It All by Scott from Satellite Beach FL USA
Pros: Does not get in the way of the controls Review: Being a new Helicopter Pilot I searched and searched for a good knee board and bought many. I heard about The Ultimate knee board and one of my instructors had one so I bought it. What a difference. By far the best. I recommend the fixed ring verson. Thats all.
