  • Pros:

Awesome product

  • By FullThrottle from Spring TX USA on Monday, February 20, 2012
  • Pros: Inexpensive solution with great quality.
  • Review: I love this product and it was a good purchase decision. This allows me to listen to music in any aircraft, and both myself and passengers can hear it. The only downsides are that there is no way to increase the volume other than whatever device you are playing it from, and it does not automatically silence the music when somebody talks on the radio.

Low Volume

  • By A Customer from FPO AP USA on Wednesday, February 02, 2011
  • Pros:
  • Review: I fly B767 and this is hard to hear the MP3 music due to the aircraft noise.

Was not compatible

  • By CHRIS from OCEAN SPRINGS MS USA on Tuesday, February 01, 2011
  • Pros:
  • Review: I'd like it if it would have worked. The plug on my headset is bigger than the plug-in on the adapter.

Cheap alternative to new comm panel

  • By A Customer on Thursday, April 29, 2010
  • Pros: Inexpensive, individual music for passengers thru headsets, no rewiring
  • Review: This adapter does exactly what it states. It provides an MP3 input for headphones without having to rewire the plane or change anything in your comm panel. The kids love it and provides an inexpensive alternative for passengers to listen to their individual Ipod's. Outstanding.

7 QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Previously Asked Questions

  • Thursday, November 10, 2011

Q: If I connect this to a phone, will my headset microphone work on the phone?

A: No, this is intended only to be used for listening to music through your headset.  If you wish to use your cell phone, you would need to get something like the Matchbox Music/Cell Phone interface or the BluLink Cell Phone Adapter.

  • Sunday, July 20, 2008

Q: I want to try this product out but I am nervous about the reviews stating that it lowers the comm volumes. If I try out the product and don't like it am I able to return it for a refund?

A: Yes, we have a full money back refund policy.  Return it within 30 days in original condition to get 100% refund (minus shipping charges).  You can read the details of our return policy here.

  • Saturday, June 28, 2008

Q: Will the adaptor turn down the music when ATC?

A: No, this is just a direct adapter for music-to-headset connection. You may wish to take a look at the Muse Personal Music Device which will cut out the music upon ATC transmissions.

  • Friday, October 19, 2007

Q: Does the tower hear the music when I transmit to them?

A: No, the tower will not hear the music. It is only heard by you (the person to whom the adapter is connected). Other passengers in the airplane will not hear the music either. If you want everyone INSIDE the cockpit to hear the music you would need the CD / MP3 Player to Intercom Adapter.

  • Tuesday, August 21, 2007

Q: I have a Bose Generation X headset. I use the headset in C-130's. Will this adapter work with the plug we use.

A: Yes, the adapter should work just fine.

  • Monday, January 22, 2007

    Q: Is this for a U174/U jack?

A: No, this is not a helicopter/military jack. You would want this product instead: http://www.mypilotstore.com/mypilotstore/sep/3330

  • Saturday, January 06, 2007

Q: Is there a cd/mp3 adapter plug that will mute the music when ATC talks?

A: Yes, the Muse from PS Engineering will do exactly that. You can find it by visiting: http://www.mypilotstore.com/mypilotstore/sep/4419
