F-4 Phantom II Engine Blade
Hold aviation history in the palm of your hand. This artifact is a genuine General Electric J79 turbojet engine blade used in a McDonnell F-4 Phantom II fighter jet.
The F-4 Phantom II twinjet was one of the most versatile fighters ever built, with top speeds more than twice the speed of sound. Both the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and Air Force Thunderbirds flight demonstration teams flew the Phantom II in the 1960s and 1970s. More than 5,000 Phantom IIs were built, serving with the air forces of 11 countries in addition to the United States.
This artifact has been stripped, cleaned, and polished and fitted with an aluminum base that is powder-coated with a matte black finish . The Boeing Custom Hangar logo is laser-etched on the underside of the base. Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Each piece is unique so your blade will vary slightly from photograph. Measures approximately 4"H x 3" in diameter. Weighs 6 oz.
