The Ameri-King AK-450 is an FAA TSO'd approved ELT , types Automatic Fixed(AF) and Automatic Portable(AP). The ELT may be manually selected or automatically activated upon a crash and transmit the standard swept tone of 121.5 & 243.0 MHz simultaneously. 

In addition, the model AK-450 may be used for transmitting voice communication to Search & Rescue Teams, on the emergency frequency 121.5 & 243.0 MHz channels.

Installation is simple. All necessary accessories are provided, including a high speed no wind drag antenna, a telescoping portable antenna, a remote control panel, coaxial cable and wiring interconnection assemblies, and a mounting tray.

Sunday, April 20, 2008 Ameri-King has a serious customer service problem. by Rick Heltsley from North Fork, Idaho  Cons: The 'g' switch is infamous for early failure. Review: If you call Ameri-King to inquire about your product, you will receive a recorded message. Ameri-King denied receiving my advanced payment. It took seven telephone calls. I had to send a copy of my processed check before they would send me a replacement ELT. It took 10 weeks for a simple repair of the 'g' switch. [Editors Note:  This review is regarding an experience with Ameri-King directly.] Friday, February 16, 2007 by IA from CA.  Pros: none Cons: Custmore support stinks. To many units returned. They don't who's is who's Review: It's a piece of crap!!! Case cracked on first inspection and this company refused to replace anything by warranty. In fact they did not contact me after 90 days (the maximum you can fly w/o an ELT, they even got my case confused with a unit that was involved with a fire!!! Buy ACK, a much better ELT.
