Lightspeed Zulu 3 versus Lightspeed Zulu.2
New contoured ear seals are designed to hug the curve of the jaw, reducing
side pressure to get a more natural fit for more comfort and stability. These
ear seals create 30-50% more space for the ear than other ANR headsets — a key
feature of long-term user comfort. The Lightspeed Zulu 3 also includes a free
taller head pad to ensure maximum comfort and performance on smaller head shapes
(redemption instructions are in the User Guide). In addition the Lightspeed Zulu
3 is outfitted with new cables built around a Kevlar core, which are stronger,
lighter, and more flexible than standard cables — and have proven themselves on
both the Lightspeed
Zulu PFX and
Lightsped Tango. And, the Lightspeed Zulu 3 will be backed by an
industry-best 7-year warranty (the industry standard is 5 years at best).

Great sound quality and extremely comfortable.
by Tom from Pleasanton CA USA
Pros: Price, comfort and sound quality
Cons: Cord length.
Review: I purchased the Zulu 3 after I tried out the Bose A20 headset. I loved the sound quality and noise canceling features, however, I found the Bose ear pieces a bit uncomfortable. I read that the light speed had increased the size of theirs with the new Zulu 3. I purchased based on this premise and found no real difference in the Zulu's sound quality or noise canceling ability. I find that at least for me, the comfort of the headset was everything they advertised. My only con is I would like the jack cord a little longer. I fly a 172 with the jacks near the armrest and like to put the controller in the side pocket to keep it out of the way and off the floor. An extra 6" on both side of the controller would make a world of difference.
